on yukata
Yukata are casual summer kimono, usually made of cotton or linen, worn with a thin belt or obi. In Japan, these garments are well known as after-bath wear, but they are also frequently worn at festivals. They are not an uncommon sight on the streets of villages and cities. Yukata have basically the same form as kimono - without the liner.
Our yukata are unique samples, hand-crafted of carefully selected textiles by the famous kimono house Hokiguchi of Uwajima (Shikoku). We always have some garments in stock, but let us know your wishes so we can propose a yukata in your favourite colours and design and have it custom tailored for you.
